2-7am: Dance Dance REVOLUTION, decentralized dance party starting on legislture lawn

7-8am: Breakfast at the legislature

11:00am: Music and fun starts in Centennial Square

11:30am-12:30pm: Workshop: Wild Crafting and Teas

12:30-1pm: Lunch! (free food)

1:00pm: Workshop: From the Street to Film, How Did We Get There?

1-3pm: Workshop: Non-violent Civil Disobedience

1:30-2:30pm: Community Seed Exchange *it is not necessary to bring seeds you have saved, any seeds you have lying around will do

2:00pm: Workshop: Decolonize Through Anti-Oppression with Ojibwe Elder Tami Cosmic

2:30-3:30pm: Gift Circle: Fueling an Alternative Economy – learn what it’s all about

4:00pm: Workers’ Solidarity Rally

4:30pm: Snake Of Solidarity March (wear red!)

5:30pm: People’s Picnic (free food)

6:00pm: On to Ottawa::SOS Trek Send-off

Film Screening of “Trek”

We are hosting a film screening on Sunday April 29, 2012 at Solstice Cafe, screening begins at 7:00 with a panel discussion to follow. We will be screening the Film Trek, Directed by Alan Segal and produced by Elroy Deimert. The film covers the history of the On to Ottawa Trek and the Regina Riot of 1935.

Join us and enjoy this exploration of contemporary society interacting with our Great Depression
history with an introduction from the films producer, Elroy Deimert. The victims of Wall Street’s recklessness organize to protest their government’s inaction and the police repression of dissent. Discover the Saskatchewan of 1935 that
gave refuge, food and support to the dispossessed Trekkers. Relive the Regina Riot
where police attacked a peaceful crowd in Market Square on Dominion Day. Cameo
appearances by Ex-BC Premier Dave Barrett, Maude Barlow, MP Libby Davies, and
Sask. historians add colour and depth.
